Mike seems to be the only competent Auto Glass Repair person around. My side vent quarter panel glass assembly was starting to come loose and it was letting air in the vehicle. It was so loud that you couldn't even hear the radio. The quarter glass actually comes with a trim around it which attaches with clips and adhesive to the frame so i wasn't sure if a glass repair place could fix it. I took it to my neighborhood Firestone to get some pointers and he said to either call a glass company or Auto body shop. I started with JRD Windshield repair, the guy were really nice but when i sent them pics of the loose quarter glass they said it was the trim and they only work on glass and that I needed to take it to the Dealer. I went into Mitsubishi and they said they wanted to replace the whole quarter glass assemble for over $250. I decided to try Klingemann by my house based on a Yelp search for Auto body repair. First they said they could fix it and to just leave my car there for the weekend. I insisted to the guy to take a look at it first. He comes out and says "Boy i'm glad I looked at it as this needs to be repaired by an Auto Body shop (which they list themselves as on Yelp) as just the clip needs to be re-attached. I took it to City Collision and Travis was super nice and he looked at the quarter glass and said that a glass company would need to just re-seal it with adhesive. I told him i had already tried a glass company and he pulled out his cell and called Absolute Glass, explained the issue and the solution and they said they could fix it. Mike from Absolute wasn't available until later that day and they do only Mobile repair. I just wanted it done so i drove to Austin Windshields and they said it needs to be fixed by an Auto Body shop. I gave up and decided to just wait for Mike from Absolute. He actually met me at Rudy's (late lunch) and fixed the trim within 15 mins while i gorged on some fab BBQ. I was ecstatic at finally getting the glass fixed and now i know which Windshield Repair company i will be using in the future :)
